The new Grand Seiko automatic Caliber 9S27 perfectly balances high performance and size in a way that only a true manufacture can achieve. Despite its diminutive dimensions measuring just 19.4mm in diameter and 4.49mm in height, the movement's specifications are outstanding, with a precision rate of +8 to -3 seconds a day and a power reserve of 50 hours. Each movement is manufactured, assembled, and adjusted by hand at Studio Shizukuishi in northern Japan and enjoys the same level of craftsmanship that goes into every other Grand Seiko mechanical watch.
Measuring 27.8mm across, the stainless steel case is delicately curved to fit the wrist. It features Grand Seiko's signature Zaratsu polishing, resulting in case sides that sparkle in the light. STGK007 features a champagne silver dial with a subtle pattern inspired by the weave of linen. 11 diamonds are set as hour markers on the dial. The seconds hand is heat blued steel and the hour and minute hands feature a central hairline stripe, a nod to historical Grand Seiko design.
