Caliber 9S63 is a significant addition to the ever growing Grand Seiko family of movements. It's a slimmer mechanical package, and it offers a small seconds register at the nine o’clock position and a power reserve indicator at three. The thinness of the movement allows for a slimmer, dressier case design. The case on SBGK007, rendered in stainless steel, is polished by a special Zaratsu method created to accentuate the beauty of the curved surfaces. The dial and the sapphire crystal are also curved to give the watch a classic look. Additionally, the dial features hand-bent minute and power reserve hands, a detail that nods to classic watch design.
