The latest Spring Drive model in the Evolution 9 Collection features a case in high-intensity titanium and a dial inspired by the clear, emerald waters of one of Japan’s most beautiful river valleys, the Atera. The combination of the dial’s deep blue-green color and its new pattern evokes the swirling waters of the famous river, and in keeping with the Evolution 9 Style, the dial is punctuated by highly legible, faceted markers and a handset with a prominent hour hand, developed with careful consideration of legibility and the precision.
The SLGA025 is powered by the next-generation 9RA2 automatic Spring Drive movement, crafted at the Shinshu Watch Studio in Nagano Prefecture. Automatic winding and five days of power reserve combine with an accuracy of ± 10 seconds per month (approximately ±0.5 seconds per day) for a highly precise and convenient watch. It is also extremely comfortable, in no small part thanks to its Evolution 9 design and lightweight titanium construction.
The characteristically high level of finishing that defines the Evolution 9 Style is readily apparent in this titanium creation. It’s achieved through undistorted mirror finishing created by Zaratsu polishing and contrasting hairline finishing, each applied by hand, for a dynamic and sophisticated appearance that is no small feat to achieve with a metal as difficult to work as titanium.
