The rotating bezel has a 24-hour scale, which, when used in conjunction with the GMT hand and the 24-hour ring on the dial, allows the watch to indicate three different time zones at the same time making it perfect for international travel.
The sapphire bezel provides a strong sense of depth to the look of the watch, and the large hands and indexes are filled generously with LumiBrite—a proprietary luminous compound—which is also featured on the bezel. The contrast between the 18k yellow gold of the bezel and the blue of the indicator ring are inspired by the morning sun floating on the horizon. The high-quality sapphire glass on the surface of the bezel provides extra resilience against scratches.
